Warrior Beast master?
***WARNING! EXTREME CRAZY CONTAINED HERE-IN!***
I was training my pet in the northern Shiverpeaks, and I was using the skill Brutal Strike. I was letting my mind wander, and I remembered about Final Thrust, which basicly works the same way. I got to thinking about this, and I'm starting to wonder how effectivly these two skills would mesh in a PvP environment. Has anyone used these 2 skills in conjunction in PvP before?
And, yes, I know that swords are basicly worthless in PvP due to lack of damage. No need to tell me what I already know.

It's a nice thought, but unfortunately Brutal Strike is extremely energy inefficient. I wouldn't suggest using it, especially on a warrior.
The majority of the time, you're better off conditioning your foe and using Scavenger's Strike rather than waiting for the <50% hp mark and using Brutal. Honestly, though, while I've used them both, I'm not fond of either option.
There's a very nice explanation of the comparative effectiveness of the pet attacks in the Combat Effectiveness section of the Pet Guide. It has the DPS and energy burden listed for each of the pet attacks.

In my Opinion a R/W Beast Master using Sword skills to act as the premature "assassin" with his trust beast is always a fun combo to work with, though it is not especially viable in large scale fighting (tombs, GvG, etc).
Definately try it with a ranger instead due to the exciting benefits of Expetise and the availabiliting of Ranger Superiors which would prove to be much more effective.

yeah, but a R/W with this in mind would need Swordsmanship, Beastmastery, and Expertise, and it would also need either Tactics or Wilderness Survival to work in PvE. That, and you'd probably need level 12s in each of those stats for good effect. Ah well, I guess the Beastial Pounce + Gash idea would work a bit better in the long run. Oh well.
